Homework and Reminders

Today we took some time to practice our cross country loop during DPA. All students were very successful and finished the 3 loops in just over 15 minutes. They should all be very proud of themselves for giving their best efforts. After our run we stayed outside to talk about Making Healthy Choices and Nutrition as well as several topics that relate to making healthy choices such as body image, peer pressures, family and cultural expectations ect.

Tomorrow, we are looking forward to walking over to our neighbourhood pond to research and take pictures of different species living in an ecosystem. This directly relates to our science biodiversity unit. Students are expected to take pictures of living species so that we can classify them into the 5 Kingdom Classification chart.

In literacy, we have working on punctuation and grammar. Tomorrow we will have a chance to take up our "end punctuation" sheet and continue our learning about WWII through our class novel study "Number the Stars". Students are expected to research and answer a a reading comprehension question every couple of chapters. The purpose of this is to further our knowledge about WWII but also to think critically about material that we are reading.

Have a great weekend!
